I’m sorry, am I reading correctly? Professor Hay says that the premise of the New York Magazine story—that he was a gullible man who wildly overreacted to female attention, thus being seduced by two women into revealing intimate stories and turning over property—is false and defamatory. And that the reporter only got it out of him by…seducing him into an intimate/romantic relationship, thereby gaining his confidence and manipulating him. Has he heard the phrase “res ipsa loquitur”?
