ABA Legal Ed Council OKs Reunification Of Penn State Law School
Council of the ABA Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar, Applications for Substantive Change (Nov. 2024):
The Council acquiesced in the application of Pennsylvania State University Dickinson Law and Pennsylvania State University Penn State Law to merge into a unified law school with two locations.

The American Bar Association has granted conditional approval of Penn State’s plan to reunite its two now-independent law schools under the Penn State Dickinson Law banner.
Approval by the ABA’s Section on Legal Education is a major step toward completion of the proposed reunification, albeit not the last. Final accreditation decisions still rest with the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and U.S. Department of Education. ...

The unified law school will actually be the fourth iteration for Penn State’s law school since it entered the legal education field by acquiring the then-independent Dickinson School of Law in 1997.
