Northwestern Law School Adds Los Angeles And Seattle To Its West Coast Initiative In San Francisco

Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law has expanded its San Francisco Immersion program to include Los Angeles and Seattle, launching what is now called the West Coast Initiative in collaboration with Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.

The new initiative began last week, offering new opportunities to current and future law students, alumni and corporate and law firm partners.

The West Coast Initiative advances Northwestern Pritzker School of Law’s mission to bring exceptional legal education to the profession along with career opportunities for our students. The Initiative offers new opportunities to current and future law students, alumni, and corporate and law firm partners in three key west coast markets touching a cross-section of locally relevant industries. Whether it be in the technology entrepreneurship environment of San Francisco or Seattle, or the entertainment and sports industries of Los Angeles, Northwestern Pritzker Law students now have pathways through our alumni networks and Law School presence in these west coast markets to engage in ways previously limited by geography and access.

All the immersion programs, which began last week, are open to Northwestern Pritzker Law rising 2Ls and 3Ls.

“We are very excited to launch our new West Coast Initiative this spring, which builds out of our San Francisco Immersion program,” Northwestern Law Dean Hari Osofsky told Law.com on Tuesday. “I am extremely grateful to our director, professor Emerson Tiller, our alumni relations and development team, and many alumni who have collaborated to launch our new Seattle Tech-Law Experience and Los Angeles Entertainment, Media, and Sports Law & Business Semester.”

“These innovative new programs, which were unanimously approved by our faculty, will prepare our students to lead by giving them exposure to cutting-edge developments in technology, entertainment, media, sports and business,” she added.
