Larry D. Bailey is an accounting and tax professional with over 40 years of experience. Notably, he was one of the first African American partners at major accounting firm.

A certified public accountant, he holds a degree in accounting from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and an MBA in Finance from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton Graduate School of Business. 

Bailey began his career as an Internal Revenue Service agent and was a partner first with KPMG Peat Marwick and later with PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP. Over the course of his career, Bailey has served as a financial advisor to foreign and domestic institutions, insurance and investment agencies, energy corporations, real estate developers, and individuals—including sports superstars like Serena and Venus Williams. 

He has taught tax and accounting courses in a variety of settings and is currently the President of LDB Consulting, Inc.

Bailey holds a membership with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is licensed in Maryland and the District of Columbia. He is the recipient of numerous awards, including the National Association of Black Accountants National Achievement Award (Public Accounting) (1995); a 1995 Black Entertainment Sports Lawyer Association Hall of Fame Inductee; a Recipient of the Joseph Wharton Award, Washington, DC (1991), and the Southern Illinois University School of Business Hall of Fame (1991).
