Florida Seeks To Hire A Tax Prof|Associate Dean For Tax Programs
The University of Florida Levin College of Law seeks an established tax professor with administrative experience to serve as our Associate Dean for Tax Programs. Over the last several years, the Levin College of Law has built upon our strength in tax law and expanded our national profile through a number of strategic initiatives. Among many achievements, we have expanded our tax faculty, with 12 full-time professors now specializing in tax law and related subjects; hired a diverse group of part-time professors with deep practice experience in tax law; and developed and grown a 7-semester JD/LLM in Tax program and a part-time remote LLM in Tax program for practicing lawyers.
To continue our success and trajectory, we seek a dynamic Associate Dean for Tax Programs with deep tax knowledge, an entrepreneurial spirit, and prior experience at an ABA-accredited law school as an associate or assistant dean or as the director of a tax program. The Associate Dean will be a faculty member appointed at a rank commensurate with experience and an administrator who will play a vital role on the Levin College’s leadership team. The ideal candidate will be a problem-solver and strategic thinker who embraces an environment of innovation and continuous improvement and is committed to growing our tax programs, working with alumni, and raising our national and international profile.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an exciting chapter at the Levin College of Law as it rises to the next level. Professor Charlene Luke has provided amazing leadership and service in this administrative role for the past five years; she will take a much-deserved sabbatical after she steps down as the Associate Dean for Tax Programs this summer.
To apply, please send a cover letter and a resume to Associate Dean Peter Molk, the chair of the search committee for this position. Materials also may be uploaded at http://jobs.ufl.edu. For further information, applicants may contact Associate Deans Molk or Luke at [email protected].
