Call For Presentations: UC-Irvine Symposium On Taxation Of Crypto-Assets
The UC-Irvine Graduate Tax Program has issued a call for papers for its fifth annual Taylor Nelson Amitrano LLP Tax Symposium on Taxation of Crypto Assets on April 17, 2023:
We are interested in submissions for proposed presentations on current issues relating to taxation of crypto-assets in the United States and abroad.
This one-day virtual symposium will be attended by tax industry professionals, government officials, and academic researchers from all over the world. Presenters of accepted submissions will be invited to present at the event.
We accept submissions from:
- Tax practitioners (in law firms, accounting firms, in-house practices, and tax preparation industry);
- Academic or industry researchers;
- Government officials, tax policymakers, and tax policy advocates;
- Entrepreneurs in fields related to the symposium topic.
Guidelines for submissions:
- Send your submission to gradtax@law.uci.edu no later than March 20, 2023.
- Please title your submission e-mail "Tax Symposium Submission."
- In your e-mail, please include the following:
- A 300-500 word abstract of the proposed presentation (if a longer version is available at the time of submission, you may submit it together with the abstract.
- Name(s) and contact details of the presenter/s.
- A short bio of each of the presenters.
- A good quality headshot of each of the presenters (these will be used in the symposium's program; if you prefer not to have your picture included in the symposium program, please state so in your submission).
- We will make decisions about submissions and notify submitters by March 27, 2023.
- While we would appreciate receiving a full paper of the accepted presentation prior to the symposium, it is not required. However, presenters will need to provide some form of written presentation material (such a presentation slides or a written summary of the presentation) to be shared with attendees.
