July 2022 California Bar Exam Results For Out-Of-State Law Schools
Following up on yesterday's post on the July 2022 California Bar Exam results for in-state law schools: the state bar has released comparable data for out-of-state law schools. Overall, 52.4% of all applicants passed the California bar exam. Among graduates of ABA-accredited law schools, first-time takers from in-state law schools passed at a higher rate (74.9%) than first-time takers from out-of-state law schools (72.3%).
Out-of-state law schools with the highest pass rates:
Texas: 100% (11 students took the exam)
Virginia: 95.5% (22)
Harvard: 95.2% (63)
Michigan: 91.4% (35)
Chicago: 91.3% (23)
Vanderbilt: 90.9% (11)
Northwestern: 90.3% (31)
Georgetown: 90.0% (40)
Cornell: 88.9% (28)
NYU: 87.1% (31)
Penn: 87.0% (23)
Arizona State: 86.7% (15)
Wash U: 82.3% (17)
Tulane: 81.8% (11)
Yale: 81.5% (27)
Notre Dame: 81.3% (16)
Duke: 80% (25)
Out-of-state law schools with the lowest pass rates:
American: 37.5% (16 students took the exam)
Howard: 38.9% (18)
Emory: 69.2% (13)
