Fall 2021 Law School Admissions Season Opens With A Bang: Applicants Are Up Over 35%, With Biggest Increases Among The Highest LSAT Bands
We are 6% through the Fall 2021 admissions cycle. The number of law school applicants are up 30.5%, and the number of LSAT scores are up 26.9%.
Applicants are up the most in the Midwest (59.9%), New England (55.7%), and Northeast (45.9%); and up the least in the South Central (16.2%), Southeast (17.8%), and Great Lakes (20.1%):
Applicants' LSAT scores are up 85.0% in the 170-180 band, 33.4% in the 160-169 band, and 13.4% in the 120-159 band:
White applicants are up 34.4%; Asian applicants are up 33.8%; applicants who did not reveal their ethnicity are up 31.3%; Hispanic/Latino applicants are up 27.2%; Black/African-American applicants are up 23.1%; and Puerto Rican applicants are up 16.7%.
