Are Trump’s tax returns still under audit? I recall this was the reason from three years ago that they couldn't be released.
How did the NYT get Trump’s IRS tax transcripts? Certainly a law was broken here.
The issue of presidential immunity I believe was first raised in Nixon vs Sirica 487 F.2nd 700 (D.C. Cir. 1973); has this issue been revisited since?

A whistleblower told both the House Ways and Means Committee and the Senate Finance Committee earlier this year that Treasury has been running some sort of improper interference in the audits of either Trump and/or Pence's return(s). The House is ruminating on a deposition of the whistleblower.
