I had a wise lawyer tell me once our legal system doesn't guarantee justice. All it does is guarantee assess to justice, which is still better than any other country in the world. But following this case, I'm starting to wonder. I feel really bad for the kids.

What it guarantees is process process process. You might get something vaguely resembling justice - and $400,000 worth of accounts payable to your lawyers.
