Roman Catholic Sues Three Law Schools, LSDAS For Religious Discrimination In Favor Of Jewish Applicants

The GW Hatchet, Woman Sues Law School Alleging Religious Discrimination:

A woman is suing the University, two other law schools and the Law School Data Assembly Service for alleged religious discrimination during the law school admissions process.

In a four-page complaint filed in an Oregon district court, Susan Marcos-Chavela claims that the LSDAS, which standardizes law school admissions data, and three universities discriminated against her as a “Roman Catholic female” when she was applying for law school. Marcos-Chavela is asking for $10 million in total from Seattle University Law School, Washburn University Law School, the GW Law School and LSDAS for discrimination, according to the complaint.

Marcos-Chavela said in the complaint that the three law schools’ admissions systems and the LSDAS favor Jewish law students, according to the complaint.

If one follow the common idea that unequal amounts of different ethnic groups indicates discrimination, the inevitable implication is that Jews run all our leading institutions. Of course, the premise is wrong--- Jews are just more talented, and are favored in any race-neutral system.

I wouldn't put anything past the faculty of most academic graduate programs. Professional schools I'd wager are more revenue conscious.

Matt may not realize it but "his lawsuit may be pursued a bit less, ah, professionally than the recent anti-affirmative-action litigation" should be read literally. That is to say, the non-lawyer agitator behind anti-affirmative litigation... and anti-VRA litigation... and the SFFA case... and other such actions has made his career off being aggrieved - not personally, just ideologically - at civil rights laws, finding plaintiffs to fight those civil rights laws with, and hooking them up with right-leaning law firms and far-right piggie banks (i.e. Donors Trust).

This lawsuit may be pursued a bit less, ah, professionally than the recent anti-affirmative-action litigation. Without having found the complaint against GW, it appears that the same plaintiff is also suing, pro se, her former apartment building, church, and the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Seattle for housing fraud and murdering children in foster care. There’s also something that was hard to read that seemed to be about denying her the Monaco crown. https://dockets.justia.com/docket/oregon/ordce/3:2019cv00999/146256
