Again, they are free to pay more, not take deductions, etc., etc. Stupid or liar? It is almost as if PR people tell them this will be good for their images. Same with the people who pledge to give their wealth away, but never do (unless to their own or connected private foundations) and have even more wealth the following year. I guess they keep misplacing their checkbooks. Stupid or liar?

Nonsense. If someone wants to pay more, they should cut a check to the U.S.Treasury and quit trying to involuntarily draft everyone else into their pet project.
