I don't think Clinton's stupid proposal will go anywhere in the short term.

An estate tax increase is in our future, although it may take as many years to be enacted as the current top income tax rates took. Portability of the estate tax exemption to the surviving spouse will take a lot of the sting out of a rate increase or exemption decrease.

Frankly, I suspect world-wide deflation will be in our future. If this happens, can some families get a refund?
