The 100 Most Influential People in Tax and Accounting
I am honored to be included on the list of Accounting Today's 100 Most Influential People in Tax and Accounting for the ninth year in a row:
Caron once stood out as one of the few serious tax bloggers out there; now that there are a lot more tax blogs online, he stands out even more -- because they all refer to him and his near-comprehensive content.
Near-comprehensive? In any event, I am flattered to be on the list with such high-powered people in the tax and accounting worlds, including:
- Max Baucus (Chair, Senate Finance Committee)
- Dave Camp (Chair, House Ways & Means Committee)
- Carol Campbell (Director, Return Preparer Office, IRS)
- Stephen Chipman (CEO, Grant Thornton)
- Loretta Doon (CEO, California Society of CPAs)
- James Doty (Chair, PCAOB)
- Joe Echevarria (CEO, Deloitte)
- George Farrah (Executive Editor, Tax & Accounting, Bloomberg BNA)
- J. Russell George (Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration)
- Charles Grassley (Member, Senate Finance Committee)
- Orin Hatch (Ranking Member, Senate Finance Committee)
- Barry Melancon (President & CEO, AICPA)
- Robert Mortiz (Chair, PriceWaterhouseCoopers)
- Caleb Newquist (Founding Editor, Going Concern)
- Barack Obama (President of the United States)
- Nina Olson (National Taxpayer Advocate, IRS)
- Brian Peccarelli (President, Tax & Accounting, Thomson Reuters)
- John Veihmeyer (Chair & CEO, KPMG)
- Mark Weinberger (Chair & CEO, Ernst & Young)
- Mary Jo White (Chair, SEC)
