@JM,

Right on the money. I have little hope that Tallie PD is secretly building up some deep sting to bust the guy/gal(s) who murdered/conspired to murder Prof Markel, as the case may be. And outside of Prawfs and Taxprof, I have seen next to no follow-up coverage on other law prof sites/blogs. Or the ABA, for that matter. If it is the case that Tallie is stuck/unresponsive/uncaring/etc about the case, one would hope that at least some of the law profs out there would take it upon themselves to put some leverage on the department. Let's not let this one slip into the cold case arena, shall we?

Transactional Prof - That is exactly what is happening, and the silence on the issue is deafening. I thought all of the legal professionals that knew Markel would keep close tabs on this investigation and comment on flaws in the justice system. I could not have been more wrong.

This is awful, no suspects (that we are aware of) or arrests by mid-September. I hope that this doesn't fade into the eternal land of unsolved, and then cold, cases forever...
