The Spectator blog article re Patrick Henry is flat wrong.

Copy of the ruling as released is here http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-wd/1416011.pdf

Patrick Henry was notified of the proposed revocation in August, 2011. They took an
appeal, which was decided in December, 2013. Then came the process of redaction, in which Patrick Henry participated.

So it is not the case that Patrick Henry got the letter in April of this year. Nor is it
the case that the examination that led to the revocation occurred during any period in which someone at IRS might have thought it better to "lay low."
