Law Faculty Salaries, 2011-12
The Society of American Law Teachers has released the results of its 2011-12 Salary Survey, reporting the median faculty salaries and summer stipends at 66 of the 200 American law schools (134 law schools either refused to participate or did not respond to the survey). Here are the median faculty salaries and summer stipends of the responding law schools in the Top 100 of the latest U.S. News law school rankings:

Actually these salaries are very reasonable. I hear complaints that law professors are overpaid, but if they knew what government workers receive with 1/2 the education and 1/2 the ability-I totally disagree. Most law professors are very good at teaching and experts in their fields.
In the small town I live in the head of parks and recreations and the head of water and sewer have incomes... about like the law professors. So --to those who complain-have a drink and walk in the park before you complain about law school professor salaries.
