Johnston: Whistleblower Accuses SC Johnson of Tax Fraud

In an unusual move, the Seventh Circuit on its own motion appointed a lawyer to represent an accountant accusing household products maker S.C. Johnson & Son Inc. of tax fraud and racketeering. The author looks at the court cases that raise questions about tax returns filed by SC Johnson, the competence of IRS auditors, and how the family-owned firm has dealt with the accusations.
