John Stewart....gotta love him. And so....what do you think about the Exxon story?

John Stewart is right. Despite the fact that I am poor and paid no income taxes, I still had to pay sales taxes, payroll taxes and state and local taxes. Of course the totals on those taxes weren't even close to the amount of money that I got back in the form of refundable credits. In fact, if you factor in all taxes that I paid, not just federal income taxes, my tax rate was right around -30% (yes, negative). Thanks, John for your incredible wisdom once again. It's too bad your audience is really only composed of ignorant college kids and stoners, I am sure the rest of America could really learn from your witty attempts at satire.
