Can anyone tell me some items in the federal budget that are expenditures of about one billion dollars even? This is for an article I hope to write and would be pleased to credit the supplier of this information. Thank You. Joseph P. Curran

Well IF this graphic is factual it seems that at little over $10k goes to financing Constitutionally questionable nanny state nonsense...

Aren't payroll taxes income taxes? If you're self-employed they certainly look that way.

22%on defense - Sorry - you must not be counting all the money spent on programs, not classified as military or defense, but actually are for military purposes - when you include them the figure goes well over 50%.

Did you want to show social programs as exceeding military spending?

It's broken. It doesn't show the share when taxes are negative.

Wouldn't most of the Social Security and Medicare come from payroll taxes, so the income tax calculator is overstating the health share coming from income taxes?
