Latest KPMG Opinion

In an opinion released yesterday in the KMPG tax shelter case (United States v. Stein, No. S105 Crim. 0888 (S.D.N.Y. 12/4/06)), federal district judge Lewis A. Kaplan ruled that former KPMG equity partner Carol Warley's attorney-client privilege was not violated when KPMG waived its privilege and turned over documents implicating Warley to the government.
