Today, 30 ABA-accredited law schools require law students to do volunteer legal work while in law school. Some require as much as 125 hours! Find out which schools require the most, and why they say pro bono is a vital part of a law graduate's resume.

Schools with most pro bono requirements:

  • 1.  Appalachian: 25 hours per semester
  • 2.  Penn:  70 hours
  • 3.  Hawaii: 60 hours
  • 3.  University of Washington:  60 hours
  • 5.  Denver:  50 hours
  • 5.  St. Thomas (Minnesota):  50 hours
  • 5.  Loyola (New Orleans):  50 hours
