College Return on Investment

2014 Payscale College Return on Investment Report:

Law School Rankings, Legal Education | Permalink

These numbers strongly imply that choice of major matters nearly as much as choice of school. But it's sad to see so many historically black schools near the bottom.

Oh good! More self-reported, unaudited salary data! Totally free from all manner of confirmation bias or fictitious reporting, too! That's worked so well in the past with law schools and for-profits, after all.

P.S. The data doesn't include grad school salaries, so if you are a successful doctor, lawyer, dentist, college professor, MBA, etc., you don't count.

P.P.S. Here's a better indicator of how good this data set is: where's Cooper Union? That engineering school par excellence was FREE at all times in question; their ROI would necessarily be many, many times higher than very-expensive Carnegie Mellon or MIT.
