The Faculty of Law at Thompson Rivers University is the first in Canada in over 34 years and is located in the stunning natural beauty of the Thompson-Okanagan Valley. Along with our inaugural faculty members, you will contribute to developing an innovative approach to legal education blending academic, professional, and ethical aspects of a modern law curriculum.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: TRU Law takes both teaching and research very seriously. In short-listing candidates, the main criterion will be academic excellence, or a demonstrated potential for excellence, as reflected in the candidate's scholarly and teaching record. The successful candidate will exhibit strong potential for innovative and high quality scholarly research leading to peer-reviewed publications, as well as for outstanding teaching contributions. Candidates must have a J.D. (or recognized equivalent) and have completed (or be close to completing) graduate studies, typically culminating in an earned Ph.D. in law, or another cognate discipline. Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. ...
