Law schools are struggling against waning interest from prospective students, but deep-pocketed donors continue to open their wallets for new programs and financial aid.

  • Chicago: $10 million (for student scholarships)
  • Illinois:  $2 million (for advocacy)
  • Missouri:  $1.6 million (for chair in corporate law)
  • West Virginia:  $1.3 million (for student scholarships)
  • Northwestern:  $1 million (for public interest fellowships)
  • Oregon:  $850,000 (for legal research and writing)

A donation of $1 million accounts for about 20 less students paying full tuition. I don't think this will solve the problem.
