The annual meeting for the American Accounting Association will be held August 3-7 in Anaheim, CA. At the meeting, the American Taxation Association will offer an exciting program of tax research. This year’s ATA program consists of fourteen sessions covering a variety of topics including Financial Reporting of Taxes, Uncertain Tax Positions, Tax Avoidance, Tax Incentives and Investment, and State and Local Tax Research. In addition, Joseph J. Thorndike, director of the Tax History Project at Tax Analysts, will serve as the speaker for the ATA luncheon on Monday, August 5. His remarks will touch on the 100th Anniversary of the U.S. Federal Income Tax.
