In explaining why President Obama didn't call the Boston bombings a "terrorist attack," former adviser David Axelrod said, "I'm sure what was going through the president's mind is -- we really don't know who did this -- it was tax day. Was it someone who was pro--you know, you just don't know.."

Of course. When the administration considers the killing of innocent Americans, the first thing that comes to mind is taxes rather than terrorists.

I think you mean a former adviser is spouting off what he thinks Obama was thinking without actually knowing.

As Lt. Kaffee says in A Few Good Men, "Please the Court, is the judge advocate honestly asking this witness to testify as to how the defendant felt on August 6th?"
