Boston University Is Fourth Law School to Offer Online Tax LL.M.

Online TaxBoston University has announced that it will begin offering an online version of its Graduate Tax Program (ranked #5 by U.S. News & World Report) in Fall 2012:

The online program option will be taught by the same experienced teaching faculty from BU's residential Graduate Tax Program -- accomplished and respected practitioners with extensive experience at private law firms and accounting firms, corporations, and government agencies, including the IRS. Like the residential program, the online option is ideally suited for domestic and foreign-trained lawyers who wish to build their expertise in tax law and expand their client base.

Interestingly, tuition and fees for the online program will be higher than for the residential program:  $44,712 v. $44,212.

Boston University is the fourth graduate tax program to offer an online tax LL.M. -- joining AlabamaDenver, and NYU.  (Thomas Jefferson offers an online international tax LL.M., and John Marshall offers an online estate planning LL.M.)
