12 More Law Schools Sued Over Allegedly Fraudulent Job Placement Data

Law School Transparency reports today that the law firms pursuing class action lawsuits against Thomas M. Cooley Law School and New York Law School and additional firms have filed complaints against 12 more law schools (press release here) challenging each school's post-graduate employment rates:

  • Albany
  • Brooklyn
  • California Western
  • Chicago-Kent
  • DePaul
  • Florida Coastal
  • Golden Gate
  • Hofstra
  • John Marshall (Chicago)
  • San Francisco
  • Southwestern
  • Widener

These attorneys announced in a press release in October and in craigslist ads in January that they would not sue any school unless they had at least 3 named plaintiffs. they did not reach that number with Hofstra or USF, but sued anyway. Of course, the press does not ask them why.
