1978, 1986, 2003, 2011 ... Red Sox Nation Grieves

Red Sox I was born and raised in Red Sox Nation, and still consider myself a citizen. So I am grieving another historic Red Sox collapse. The New York Times (of course) reports that the Red Sox had a 99.6% chance of making the playoffs on September 3, as they had a 9-game lead over Tampa Bay with 24 games left:

It feels so good to see the arrogant Red Sox fans grieving over their team's loss to the Orioles. Makes my hardened heart all soft and gushy to see them weep. I hope they have a long, cold and bitter winter.

I would say quit whining, but the Sox fans' tears are like candy, so keep it up!

The Red Sox simply didn't deserve to make the playoffs this year and they would have been eliminated in short order anyway. Go Rays!
