President Bush Signs Bill Establishing 5-Year Term for IRS Commissioner

President Bush on Friday signed S. 2436, which defines the term of the IRS Commissioner as five years over a specified period of time, rather than as from the time of appointment. The legislation paves the way for nominee Douglas Shulman to serve a full five-year term.
