Democrats Release Details of Energy Tax Bill
House Ways & Means Committee Chair Charles Rangel and Senate Finance Committee Chair Max Baucus today released the details of their agreement on a $21 billion package of tax incentives for energy and conservation efforts. The package includes the repeal of the § 199 manufacturing tax deduction for the five major oil and gas companies and a variety of tax credits to encourage the use and production of more energy-efficient goods.
