Second Circuit Reverses District Court in KPMG Tax Shelter Case
The Second Circuit today held that federal district judge Lewis Kaplan exceeded his jurisdiction in the KPMG tax shelter case in ordering KPMG to stand trial over its refusal to pay the legal fees of its indicted former employees. Stein v. KPMG, No. 06-4358-cv (5/23/07).
