Off to the Ranch; Guest Bloggers Take the Reins

Jh_ranchI am off to the JH Ranch in Northern California with my 13-year old daughter for a week-long coming-of-age program designed to help parents and kids cope with the often turbulent teen years.  I went with my son last summer and, although white water rafting, cliff diving, and sleeping in bunk beds in a cabin with ten men is not generally my cup of tea, it ended up being a very special week that strengthened our faith and our relationship.  I am hoping for a similar result with my daughter (who, to put it mildly, is not thrilled about leaving behind the creature comforts of civilization to go roughing it with Dad).

Although there is no Internet access at the ranch, through the magic of Typepad's software, I have written a couple dozen posts timed to publish on the blog while I am gone.  (As the song says, How Can I Miss You If You Won't Go Away?)  In addition, several Tax Profs will be guest blogging in my absence.  I hope you enjoy these new voices:

Steve_bank_1Steve Bank (UCLA)

   Zbuchanan

Neil Buchanan (Rutgers-Newark)

Christal Allison Christians (Wisconsin)

Jonesd_1Darryll Jones (Pittsburgh)

Zelenakl_3Larry Zelenak (Duke)

Indeed, depending on the reaction this week, the guest blogging format may become a permanent feature of TaxProf Blog (The Caron Conspiracy?).
