As someone born and raised in the Boston area, and who still subscribes to the Boston Globe to keep abreast of Boston sports teams, last night added an interesting chapter in my life as a die hard Red Sox fan. Cincinnati was hit with heavy thunderstorms and we lost electricity at our home. So what does a loving husband and father do when his kids are scared of the dark? After digging out candles and flashlights for my family, I spent the blackout alone in my car listening to the game on the radio! I know, of course, that the Red Sox amazing win last night represented not a step toward becoming the first team in baseball history to rally back from a 3-0 deficit but rather a prelude to the inevitable heartbreak to come tonight or tomorrow in Yankee Stadium. But in the meantime, it's a heck of a ride!
